Hi, I’m Ashley.

I’m a career-minded creative, lifelong learner, and storyteller who believes that our careers don’t have to follow a straight line to be meaningful.

For a long time, I thought career growth meant having everything figured out — choosing the right path, building the perfect résumé, and knowing exactly where I was headed. My own experience has taught me something different.

Sometimes growth looks like starting over. Sometimes it looks like taking a chance on yourself, learning something completely new, or recognizing that the skills you developed in one chapter of your life can become the foundation for the next.

That’s a big part of what I’m exploring here.

From retail to what’s next

My career journey began in customer-facing roles, where I learned lessons that extend far beyond the workplace.

Retail taught me how to communicate with all kinds of people, listen carefully, solve problems under pressure, work as part of a team, adapt when plans change, and create positive experiences for others.

It also taught me that there is value in work that doesn't always receive the recognition it deserves.

As I continue building my career, I’m bringing those lessons with me while exploring new opportunities, developing new skills, and figuring out what kind of professional life I want to create.

I’m interested in the intersection of people, communication, creativity, and meaningful work — and I’m passionate about sharing what I learn along the way.

To start something new and wonder if you’re capable of succeeding.

I also know how powerful it can be to find someone who is honest about the process rather than only sharing the finished result.

That’s what I hope this space can be.

A place to share what I’m learning — the successes, the mistakes, the unexpected lessons, and everything in between.

If something I write helps someone feel a little less alone in their own career journey, gives them an idea they can actually use, or inspires them to take their next step, then it’s worth sharing.

Beyond the career

My professional life is only one part of who I am.

I’m naturally curious and love learning new things. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, reading, content creation, storytelling, baking, music, singing and songwriting, acting, learning languages, yoga, dance, swimming, spending time in nature, and finding new ways to be creative.

I believe those interests matter, too.

They remind me that a fulfilling life isn’t built around one job title. It’s built around curiosity, relationships, creativity, growth, and the things that make us feel like ourselves.
